My name is Meg, and I have a problem...

I apologize for the complete lack of silence over here, but I'm battling with a demon....

Don't tell me if you know, but I swear that if they don't get together, I'm going to vomit with anger.

Downton Abbey is the ONLY show I cannot sew through because I am riveted the entire time.  It is my kryptonite.  I'm working through Season 2 steadily this week, begging Rob to put on the next episode even when it's WAY past my bedtime or we've just watched three in a row.

I get in quite a panic.  He doesn't dare deny me :)

(word verification = prances. As in, "Lady Mary prances across the room, heedless of the adoring eyes of Cousin Matthew". Eww. Cousins. )

  3. I watched the season 2 premiere on Sunday! Lady Mary is redeeming herself a bit from last season. I really could do without Thomas and O'Brien, I never like characters that constantly get away with stuff!

My word verification is an actual word: plate!

  4. enjoy it, meg! i had a major downton situation over the holidays...worth every moment because, really, who cares if it's after 3am and you're on your 5th episode so long as you can find out WHAT HAPPENS NEXT....

    :-)

  5. My friend and I laughed, agonized and swore loudly at the telly all through the two hours of that first episode. We also had scones and tea. SO GOOD!

  6. Oh my gah, I can't take it! It's sooooo good... and now I can't wait for the rest of the season! I never thought I'd be rooting so hard for cousins to hook up!

  7. OMG me too! I spent the last week watching all the episodes online and driving my husband crazy. I can't look away either, because I have to see every single fabulous outfit they're wearing.

My word: idech. As in "Iiiideccchhh! I can't believe they're cousins. Gross."

  8. You know I love this show too! I'm on a big British TV kick lately with Downton Abbey, Sherlock, Doctor Who (as usual), and The Hour (watched that today while sewing!). We need to do a Downton Abbey themed sewing event...

  9. Where are you getting the whole season from? I thought about watching it ahead of time, but then I decided to wait. After the premiere I'm thinking I can't wait. So now I'm sewing to Season 1 to get my fix until the weekend. (What is a 'week end?')

    Word: tosergon
    Is that a word??

  11. David got me the two seasons as a Christmas present and we literally watched both seasons in one week! Plus we got the xmas special while it was still streaming (only in the UK). Sigh. LOVE this show!!! So addictive. Though we both think the second season was veering more towards soap opera? The canadian guy? That episode was a bit too soap opera for me.

  13. I adore Downton Abbey! Such a marvellous show has not been on TV is ages (not that I watch very much, but you know....). I am all over Team Mary & Matthew plus Team Anna & Mr. Bates (*swoon*)

Sherlock is a fantastic show, too. Love it!

  14. yay for Downton! I'm up to date here in the UK, and the second season (and Christmas special!) It does go a bit soap-opera as Debi said... but you'll never escape!
(@Cation Designs - as I remember, they're not cousin-cousins,but a bit removed. Her actual cousin was the one on the Titanic).
