I Never Want To Look At A Bow Clutch Again

No, seriously.  I just made twelve of these (over the course of two days) for my grandmother to give away as Christmas presents.  These were not included in my original "To Make" list.  Eep!

She originally wanted a different purse made to give out to her granddaughters and great-granddaughters, but I managed to dissuade her of that idea and push for the faster (and more familiar to me) bow clutch.

This is my favorite.  I love the waves fabric.

Hopefully all of my cousins like them.  I used up all the fabric my grandmother had purchased for her original idea, and I think these will be appropriate for girls of all ages.

OK.  I managed to consolidate my "To-Make" list and get it down to 19 items, and two of those were completed yesterday.  Hooray!  17 to go.  Feeling confident and sassy ... and tired.  Need more coffee before I can do more crafting.

Friends, how are you feeling about the holidays?  Anyone else running on coffee?

Have a great day, all!  And try not to sleep at your desks like moi :)

XOXO,
Meg

  1. OMG my first thought was "12 done, she's halfway there!" Those are so cute though, even if you never want to make one again. Totally could be dressed down or up. What a doll you are for making those for her... I'm starting to feel bad that I'm not hand making any gifts this year. lol

  5. You're either mental or superhuman. Possibly both. I can't believe you have done this on top of your original list. I'm just hoping I can get the washing away before Christmas. The purses are super cute and should make your cousins adore you and your grandmother! Good luck with the rest of your list but sleep occasionally!

  6. Wowzers, you go girl! You've certainly set yourself quite a task with your Xmas gift-making, but the little bow clutches are adorable! I'll be making the bare minimum this year as I don't have much time and I'm being selfish with the time I do have ;o)

  10. [massive spelling spaz-out issues, ignore the previous] anyhow - they are adorable. I like the idea of the same pattern, but with different fabrics for the whole family - matchy, but not.

  12. Bowing out of the bow clutch arena? They are adorable, you have done a lovely job. I better make sure my girls don't see these or I will be making a forest of clutches as well!

  13. I made most of my gifts last year, but this year I'm taking it easy. I'm just making gift baskets for everyone in the family instead of separate gifts for each. Yea for repetition!

  14. Oh those are adorable and you are so sweet to be her little elf! I must shockingly confess that i haven't even started on a list- and Ime I haven't even MADE the list yet. Oh, this will get ugly. I predict a last minute frantic search of the gift card end cap at the grocery store in my future!

  15. WOW, job well done! You have lucky family members. My family members will not be getting anything like this out of me ;) I only use sewing for my own selfish evil purposes.

  17. Hey Megan... would you make me a bow clutch? tehehehe

They're all so cute, no wonder why you've been commissioned to make these. You're going to have to take a weeks' vacation to relax after all of your Christmas sewing!
