Daily Action: Follow Government Agencies on Twitter

Friends, now is not a great time to be working for the federal government in any scientific capacity, especially at National Parks or government agencies like the EPA. In fact, the chairman of the House Science Committee has said The national liberal media won’t print that, or air it, or post it. Better to get your news directly from the president. In fact, it might be the only way to get the unvarnished truth.” (link to article here) There is a resistance rising, though, to the silencing of our agencies, and I encourage you to take part.

If you are on Twitter, please take a moment to follow the following accounts on this list here, some of which are listed below:

If you're interested in showing solidarity with the scientists in person, there is a march being organized in Washington, DC. Details will be forthcoming here

XOXO and stay safe,
Meg

UPDATE: Just stumbled on this fantastic article listing some sub-tweets against the new administration's agenda.

  1. Looking forward to seeing the scientists fight back with peer reviewed research, big questions and facts. Just left a London meeting for a scientists' march in solidarity. It is a world issue not just the USA.

    1. I'm looking forward to seeing all of the scientists and the supporters rally around the globe. I'm picturing the Women's March, but larger :) I'm glad to hear you are taking part in the London march!
